We use sustainable and eco-friendly wood fuel for all heating and hot water. This is from a state-of-the-art wood pellet boiler supplied by Rural Energy (www.ruralenergy.co.uk)
We use low-energy light bulbs and all our paper towels and toilet paper are made from 100% recycled material

We also water the garden predominantly from rain water butts, which are installed on most down pipes. |
| All tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and snack bars provided in the bedrooms and Studio are Fair trade products (www.fairtrade.org.uk). |
Our jam and marmalade are made to early 20th century recipes, by a Braunston charity -'The Friends of Raymond' (www.thefriendsofraymond.org.uk) - which sponsors the renovation and maintenance of two wonderful, original working boats. |
We use local and organic products wherever possible, with farm sausages, bacon and free range eggs in our breakfasts.
